Nov-December '08

Sunday Nov. 30th:

Were pulling the cyclingcoffeecafe.com airstream, or Floyd for short, to Conyers for the Conyers 2, Elks Aidmore Childrens Center "Make Up Race"

We actually did the last 3 races in the series, it was quite cold out so the coffee and hot coco were flowing! Actually got stuck in the mud in Conyers!! Had to get a huge 4X4 to get us out!!

10/11-10/12

We pulled Floyd up to Greevnville to hang with the Hincapies and serve up coffay for the last race this season! The Downtown Greenville Cycling Classic was awesome! Congrats to Tiago Depaula who won the pro race on Sunday after recovering from a horrific accident earlier this season. We had a great time in Greenville again. Great city for cycling!

10/4-10/5

We pulled Floyd over to Dalton for the Raisin hope ride and race. All was great until Eric did something wrong with the electricity and burnt a pump! So we took her home Saturday night :0( Since no coffay was to be brewed after smoking the pump! Lesson learned and now we take precautions not to smoke a third pump! We want to thank Saul, his family as well as Amy and Chris for putting on the event.

9/24-26/2008

Interbike!

Thanks to Highway Two for hosting us in there booth, As the "official" coffee of fiz:ik! Jason and Nathan O'Neill pulled some 3000 plus shots of the world's best espresso for all those in attendence. I am going to be putting up some shots from the espresso bar in a few but in the mean time you can check out Nathan being interviewed on http://www.missingsaddle.com/videos.php

Official Coffee of the Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Pro Championships 2008!

With J feeling better and some help from our friends; Karen O'Neill, Shawn Fouts and online plugs from Nathan O'Neill, the crew rocked out a lot of coffay in Greenville this weekend. As for the race, it was one of the best finishes I have ever witnessed for a road race. Nothing like a 2 person track esk dual to finish out the race! Greenville was awesome and we thank the city for hosting such a great event. Congrats of course goes out to Tyler Hamilton, way to rock it!

Update On J: Crashpage!

From Jason:

I just received the MRI results and its not so good. It looks like I have 2 fractures in my pelvis. That now brings the grand total to 5 fractures. Woohoo! Doc says no walking for 6 to 8 weeks. I still have a lot of discomfort in the hip area. Thanks for all your thoughts.
Best,
Jason

6/24/2008

Jason went down during the Cat 3 State Championchip race in La Grange this past weekend. Another Rider clipped his peddle in corner 4 right in front of him and J collided right into him. He's currently recovering with a broken elbow, ankle and foot!!! We would like to thank Eddie Hsu for helping me break down the Airstream and Steve for taking J to the Hospital. Also we would like to thank the guys over at Addictive Cycles for finding a wheel chair for J to use!

Check out the pic of J in the Pics page!
